Victor Vasarely was a Hungarian-French artist and a pioneer of Op Art. After studying graphic design, he developed a style based on geometric shapes and optical illusions. He explored visual perception by playing with contrasts and movement effects.
His work, influenced by the Bauhaus, aimed to engage the viewer in a dynamic interaction with the piece. Vasarely became a major figure in 20th-century abstract art, with a constant influence on optics and kinetic art.
