Sonia Delaunay was a French-Ukrainian artist and a major figure in the Orphism movement, a variant of Cubism that focuses on color and light. She is best known for her innovative paintings and textile designs, where she revolutionized the fusion of abstraction and color.
In collaboration with her husband, artist Robert Delaunay, she explored the concept of simultaneity, aiming to capture the effects of light and movement. Sonia Delaunay also influenced fashion, creating vibrant-patterned clothing and fabrics.
Her work, both dynamic and poetic, remains a cornerstone of modern art and continues to inspire contemporary artists.
