Jean Arp was a French-German artist and a pioneer of abstract art and surrealism. A member of the Dada movement, he collaborated with artists such as Marcel Duchamp and Max Ernst. Arp is distinguished by his organic and abstract forms inspired by nature, as well as his use of chance and spontaneity in creation.
His work, which includes sculptures, collages, and paintings, explores abstraction, the unconscious, and the relationship between the artist and their environment. His influence remains significant in both abstract and contemporary art.
